Não se engane ao comprar um carregador falso para o seu dispositivo da Apple pensando que ele vai suprir o lugar do verdadeiro – e caríssimo – acessório.
Curioso para saber quais as principais diferenças entre cada opção, o engenheiro Ken Shirriff resolveu desmontar ambos os acessórios e publicou os resultados obtidos em seu blog oficial.
Apesar do visual externo ser bem semelhante, as diferenças entre os carregadores chegam a assustar, já que além da potência da recarga ser diferente, há também questões de segurança envolvidas.
Um ponto inquestionável é que o carregador da Apple possui muito mais isolamento, sendo que há isoladores de plástico entre alguns componentes. Na imagem abaixo, é possível notar visualmente as divergências entre os dois acessórios.
Enquanto o carregador original da Apple consegue oferecer 10 W, o falso alcançou pouco mais da metade desse número: apenas 5,9 W. Essa informação coletada por Shirriff demonstra que acessório falsificado demora quase que o dobro do tempo para carregar completamente o dispositivo, se comparado com o componente original.
É possível que muitos usuários já conheçam as disparidades entre os dois acessórios, mas, o que realmente interessa é que, de fato, o carregador falso não é tão seguro quanto o original. As normas de segurança exigem um intervalo de pelo menos 4 mm entre os lados de alta e baixa voltagem que compõem qualquer transformador.
Enquanto o acessório da Apple oferece espaço de sobra – 5,6 mm –, o xing ling possui apenas 0,6 mm. O carregador verdadeiro ainda utiliza um fio de isolamento triplicado, enquanto o falso nem isolado é – e ainda é revestido por uma fina camada de verniz.
Como os padrões de segurança são completamente ignorados durante o processo de fabricação do acessório falsificado, é natural que os riscos da peça pegar fogo são muito maiores e podem acabar trazendo prejuízos que vão além de colocar fogo no seu gadget.
