Driveclub terá uma versão gratuita para assinantes da PlayStation Plus, e a Evolution Studios, responsável pelo jogo de corrida, divulgou qual o conteúdo em comparação com a versão completa. O game terá no total 5 diferentes localizações, com 55 pistas, 50 carros e 50 eventos. Já a versão para PlayStation Plus contará com apenas uma localização (Índia), 11 pistas e 10 carros, mas tendo acesso à todos os modos existentes no jogo. (Foto: Divulgação) A empresa também afirmou que os assinantes poderão efetuar um upgrade para a versão completa com desconto, pagando US$ 50 (cerca de R$ 111) ao invés do preço normal de US$ 60 (aproximadamente R$ 132). No entanto, uma regra específica para esse caso de upgrade deixou os fãs furiosos. Segundo Jamie Brayshaw, funcionário da Evolution Studios, o jogador terá acesso ao game completo apenas “enquanto sua assinatura da PlayStation Plus estiver ativa”. Porém, a Sony já desmentiu essa informação. Vale lembrar que a maioria dos jogos de PlayStation 4 exigem que os jogadores sejam assinantes da PS+ para poderem disputar partidas online. Com Driveclub não deve ser diferente e, como o game tem um grande apelo multiplayer/social, talvez a Evolution tenha levado isso em conta na hora de tomar essa decisão.
