Os novos iPhones finalmente chegaram à China Mobile, a maior operadora do mundo com uma base de 760 milhões de clientes. Embora analistas tenham previsões bem otimistas para a negociação, estimando que a Apple irá vender ao menos 15 milhões de aparelhos adicionais, a operadora não oferece condições muito vantajosas em relação às suas concorrentes.
O iPhone 5S de 16GB sai de graça caso o cliente assine um plano de 588 yuans, o equivalente a US$97 mensais, válido por dois anos. Em comparação, o mesmo aparelho também não tem custo algum na China Unicom em um plano bem mais em conta de 386 yuans (US$63). Só que a validade do contrato é um pouco maior, com 30 meses.

Caso o consumidor queira pagar menos por mês, em um plano de 188 yuans (US$31), precisará desembolsar US$625 pelo iPhone 5S de 16GB. Desbloqueado e sem contrato, o smartphone sai pelo equivalente a US$873.
O preço alto não espantou os chamados early adopters. Estima-se que 1,2 milhão de clientes da China Mobile já mostraram interesse na novidade durante a pré-venda. Um diferencial da companhia é a conectividade 4G, por enquanto ainda restrita a poucas localidades, mas com a meta de se expandir para 340 cidades até o final do ano. [PhoneArena]
