Chefe de design da Samsung Mobile é realocado após recepção negativa ao Galaxy S5
O chefe de design da Samsung Mobile, Chang Dong-hoon, foi realocado para a chefia do centro de design geral da Samsung. É lá que se define a estratégia de design de toda a variada gama de produtos da empresa, incluindo televisões e notebooks. Enquanto isso pode ser entendido como uma promoção, uma notícia da Reuters – assim como diversos outros veículos de comunicação – diz o contrário, colocando a culpa na recepção negativa de público e crítica ao design do Galaxy S5.
Quem entrará no lugar de Dong-hoon é Lee Ming-hyuk. Ele projetou carros durante uma parceria entre Samsung e Renault na década de 90. Ming-hyuk se tornou o mais jovem executivo sênior da história da Samsung em 2010, quando assumiu um importante papel no design da linha de produtos Galaxy.
Desde seu lançamento, o Galaxy S5 tem sido alvo de críticas por causa do seu design, especialmente por ter uma traseira feita de plástico. Enquanto isso, alguns de seus concorrentes globais, como o iPhone 5S e o HTC One M8, possuem acabamento em metal.
