O carioca vai poder contar com mais um meio para receber informações sobre o trânsito. A partir desta semana, a Prefeitura do Rio vai instalar 20 relógios digitais com dicas de rotas alternativas para fugir dos costumeiros congestionamentos da cidade. Com base nos dados do Waze, enquanto estiverem em deslocamento, os motoristas poderão tomar decisões mais rápidas sobre o melhor caminho a seguir. Ao contrário de exibir um tempo de deslocamento estimado, o projeto em parceria com o aplicativo informa o tempo de percurso baseado nos dados dos usuários, sem fazer um julgamento subjetivo como bom, intenso ou lento. O cálculo do tempo de percurso será processado pela ferramenta do Google, que leva em conta dados do trânsito monitorados em tempo real. O próximo passo será ampliar as rotas e instalar outros 50 relógios digitais pelas ruas do Rio de Janeiro. “Uma cidade inteligente é aquela em que os cidadãos e governos dialogam em busca de mais qualidade de vida, de melhores decisões”, explica Pedro Junqueira, chefe executivo do Centro de Operações Rio. Ainda de acordo com Junqueira, a Prefeitura do Rio vem trabalhando constantemente em busca dessas conexões. “Com essa nova maneira de darmos informações, temos como propósito deixar o Centro de Operações ainda mais perto do dia a dia do carioca”, conclui. Waze Connect Cittizens (Foto: Divulgação/Waze) Connected Citizens O Waze anunciou na quart-feira (1) o programa “Connected Citizens”, voltado para melhorar as condições do tráfego em cidades pelo mundo. A finalidade é fornecer em tempo real seus dados para governos que mantêm parceria com o aplicativo. Em contrapartida, vai obter informações sobre os projetos públicos, como construção, sensores de estrada e obras de infraestrutura. O Rio de Janeiro faz parte do primeiro grupo de 10 cidades que vão receber as informações. Além do Rio (Brasil), fazem parte Barcelona (Espanha), Jacarta (Indonésia), Tel Aviv (Israel), San Jose (Costa Rica), Boston (EUA), Estado da Flórida (EUA), Estado de Utah (EUA), Los Angeles (EUA) e o departamento de polícia de Nova York (NYPD). Com a Prefeitura do Rio, o Waze dispõe ainda de um programa piloto em que complementa dados do departamento de trânsito com relatos de usuários do aplicativo.
