Hackers fazem novos ataques cibernéticos a varejistas dos EUA
A empresa de segurança cibernética IntelCrawler disse nesta sexta-feira ter descoberto ao menos seis ataques em andamento contra varejistas nos Estados Unidos cujos sistemas de cartão de crédito estão infectados com o mesmo tipo de software malicioso usado para roubar dados de cerca de 40 milhões de cartões de crédito da Target.
O presidente-executivo da IntelCrawler, Andrew Komarov, disse à Reuters que a companhia alertou as autoridades, a Visa e os setores de inteligência de diversos grandes bancos.
O relatório da empresa é a mais nova evidência de que as revelações sobre os ataques cibernéticos que resultaram em roubo de dados de cartões de clientes da Target e da loja de departamentos Neiman Marcus podem ser apenas a ponta do iceberg.
Komarov disse que varejistas na Califórnia e em Nova York estão entre as empresas atingidas pelo BlackPOS, o software malicioso usado no ataque à Target. Os nomes das varejistas não foram divulgados.
Um porta-voz da Visa disse que não poderia comentar a informação.
